Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nurse Practitioner to join our team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our interdisciplinary clinical team, you will provide high-quality psychiatric and medical care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct ongoing psychiatric and medical assessments, case management, and psychopharmacological treatment, including prescribing medications and monitoring non-psychiatric medical conditions and medications.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary clinical team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current or imminent unrestricted national nurse practitioner board licensure with prescriptive authority.
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited National League of Nursing graduate school.
  • Required board certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP).
  • Minimum of 24 months experience in an adult inpatient psychiatric setting or related experience.
  • Experience in an Emergency Room is recommended.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary clinical team.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to multitask, and flexibility to manage irregular or extended hours.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively address problems, and also work as a member of a multidisciplinary integrated team.
  • Basic computer skills to use electronic or online systems for communication, clinical, and administrative purposes.
