Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

Islandsand Holdings Incorporated is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring efficient and safe food handling practices.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and healthy work environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and excess inventory.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, adhering to company policies and regulations.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management and cost control decisions.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Work Environment:

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage a team of 5-10 staff members. The role involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending, with a focus on attention to detail and quality control.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or related role.
