Job Summary

Thorncliffe Place Retirement Residence is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with Medication: Administer medication as required, under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
  • Support Residents with Daily Tasks: Assist residents with eating, toileting, and mobility.
  • Engage Residents in Activities: Participate in activities that promote socialization, mental stimulation, and physical activity.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure the physical environment is safe and secure for residents.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a Personal Support Worker (PSW) program or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a long-term care facility.
  • Certifications: Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
