The Food Service Associate/Cook position is a dynamic role that requires individuals with food preparation experience, excellent customer service skills, and attention to detail. As a key member of the Dexterra Group team, you will perform a variety of tasks within the food services operation.


Your Responsibilities



  • Assist in preparing menu items and assume responsibilities for assigned service stations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training opportunities to develop advanced kitchen skills, including menu planning, nutrition accounting, and food ordering.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support an environment that creates healthy, tasty, and fun culinary experiences.
  • Shadow Red Seal Chef/Kitchen Manager to develop expertise in kitchen operations and leadership.

Requirements



  • Flexible scheduling and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable transportation outside of city limits.
  • Able to pass Vulnerable Sector Background Check and possess Safe Food Handling Certification (an asset).
  • Punctual, professional, and able to work independently.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset.
  • Certification in First Aid (an asset).
