Your Opportunity:

Description:

As a Physiotherapist II at Alberta Health Services, you will play a vital role in providing coordination of physiotherapy and other allied health clinical services. You will supervise students and team members as assigned, working both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide leadership to other healthcare professionals. You will make day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs regarding assessment, intervention, discharge, and follow-up. You will advise team members on complex clinical cases and provide clinical leadership within the program or service area to ensure safe, efficient, and effective client care. You will ensure physiotherapy practice is evidence-based and in alignment with Alberta legislation and regulations, professional standards of practice, code of ethics, and AHS policy and guidelines. You will coordinate the day-to-day operations of an assigned service area and monitor care delivery, identifying service needs and assisting other medical staff with caseload management, completing chart audits, and providing follow-up and feedback to staff. You will participate in program development and operational planning and represent the department on committees or programs. You will make decisions on staffing level requirements, workflow, caseload priorities in collaboration with managers and other healthcare providers.

  • Participate in program development and operational planning

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Basic Cardiac Life Support (healthcare provider level) from the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
