Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Contract Logistics team in Montreal. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing the daily activities of our multi-client warehouse, ensuring the safe, high-quality, and productive delivery of third-party logistics services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and supervise the daily activities of the warehouse, including labor scheduling, supervision, and the proper utilization of manpower, equipment, and space.
- Ensure new hires are thoroughly trained and ongoing training is provided to all employees to ensure their continued success.
- Oversee associates, manage work schedules, and ensure attendance is accurately recorded.
- Maintain employee awareness and compliance with QSHE (Quality, Safety & Health, Environment) standards.
- Analyze process improvements and implement changes to drive efficiency and cost savings.
- Establish a clear communication channel between internal and external stakeholders.
- Make recommendations to improve operations using continuous improvement techniques and drive cost-saving initiatives.
- Assist the Distribution Center Manager in establishing and ensuring the execution of operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and inventory accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with GMP requirements and regulatory requirements of Health Canada and other applicable authorities and client requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a Pharmaceutical/Manufacturing/Retail distribution center environment.
- 5+ years of experience in a site leadership role with 50+ indirect reports.
- Knowledge of various production and quality systems (GxP, GMP, ISO, Lean, TPS, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bilingual in French and English is required.
- 1+ years of experience with leading and implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies and Continuous Improvement.
