Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and charismatic Barperson to join our team at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, located in the breathtaking Canadian Rocky Mountains. As a Barperson with our esteemed hotel, you will be an ambassador for exceptional service and flavours, embodying the warm hospitality that is synonymous with our luxury brand.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $17.46 per hour, reflecting the competitive rates in the region.

About the Role:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing professional, friendly, and engaging service to our guests
  • Assisting guests and servers regarding beverage menu items in an informative and helpful manner
  • Selling and up-selling menu and beverage items in a positive and professional way
  • Projecting a pleasant and positive professional image to guests at all times
  • Controlling beverage stock, performing daily inventory reporting, and other administrative tasks as required
  • Mixing drinks and presenting them to guests and/or servers in a timely manner
  • Holding full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
  • Holding full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods
  • Knowledge of mixology, creating unique, new, and innovative recipes
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year bartending experience in a high-volume, full-service bar within the last 5 years
  • Completion of a Food and Beverage test with a score of 80% or above
  • Pro Serve certification
  • Previous point-of-sale system experience is an asset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision
