About the Role

Hollaway Equipment Rental Ltd is seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team. As a Construction Labourer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades to facilitate construction activities.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to meet project requirements.
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction to ensure proper installation.
  • Pave and rake asphalt to create a smooth surface.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites to ensure a clean and safe working area.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites to minimize disruptions.
Equipment and Machinery Experience
  • Operate concrete vibrators to ensure proper concrete placement.
  • Use concrete saws to cut through concrete surfaces.
  • Operate air compressors to power various equipment.
Construction Specialization
  • Water mains installation is a key aspect of this role.
Transportation/Travel Information
  • Valid driver's license is required for this position.
  • Own transportation is necessary for commuting to work sites.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physically demanding work environment requires stamina and endurance.
  • Tight deadlines and repetitive tasks are common in this role.
  • Handling heavy loads is a regular requirement.
Weight Handling
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) is the maximum weight that can be handled.
Own Tools/Equipment
  • Steel-toed safety boots are required for this position.
