Tomlinson Group of Companies is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to support our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations and be able to develop and implement effective strategies to control risks in the workplace. This includes conducting site visits, investigating accidents and injuries, and providing training to employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director, Health & Safety with health and safety initiatives
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on health and safety procedures
  • Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Investigate accidents and injuries and develop corrective actions
  • Provide health and safety advice to employees and management
  • Assist with Ministry of Labour and WSIB issues
  • Conduct surveys and assessments as required

Requirements:

  • University or college diploma in Health and Safety or related field
  • 5+ years of related industry experience
  • Being bilingual is an asset
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and laws
  • Effective communication and teaching skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Valid G class driver's license
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders and lift moderate loads
