About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Framer-Carpenter to join our team at Saihaj Framing Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials to build foundations, install floor beams, and erect walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
Work Environment

As a Framer-Carpenter, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and handling heavy loads. You will be required to work overtime and meet tight deadlines.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade
  • Equivalent experience
  • Steel-toed safety boots and hard hat
  • Judgement, reliability, and team player skills
