Diagnostic Imaging Specialist Opportunity

Humber River Health, a leading healthcare provider in North West Toronto, is seeking a skilled General X-Ray Technologist to join our dynamic Medical Imaging team.

Compensation: $36.84-$50.24 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced General X-Ray Technologist to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including general x-rays, O.R., Portables, Gastric exams, Fluoroscopy, and minor procedures.

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and assessing patients for radiologic procedures, operating medical equipment, and collaborating with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all x-ray exams as per determined departmental protocols.
  • Operate various types of equipment, including general x-ray rooms (DR & CR), mobile x-ray, c-arm fluoroscopy, general fluoroscopy, and multi-purpose rooms.
  • Prepare and assess patients for radiologic procedures, including obtaining consent and confirming exam validity.
  • Present images to radiologists for reporting via film and/or PACS.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration and good standing: With the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) or the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • Experience: In Emergency, Operating Room, and Portable Radiology.
  • Strong communication skills: To effectively work with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Flexibility: To adapt to changing priorities and workload demands.
