Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at West Country Family Service Association.

Job Summary:

The Healthcare Assistant will provide high-quality patient care and support to our clients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, including their living spaces and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Healthcare Aide Certificate or equivalent.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Immunization records and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
