Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Assistant to join our team at Fraser Health. As an Anesthesia Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing technical support and clinical assistance in the induction, maintenance, and recovery phases of anesthesia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services under clinical direction, including arterial line catheterization, endotracheal intubation, and central line insertion.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies requiring anesthesiology intervention.
  • Maintain hemodynamic measurements and recordings, and perform ECG recordings as requested by the Anaesthesiologist.
  • Assist with airway emergencies and cardiac arrests in the Operating Room and Post Anesthetic Care Unit.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited post-graduate diploma Anesthesia Assistant Program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current certification in CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current anesthesia assistant theory and practice.
Salary:

$73,148 - $87,179 per year, depending on experience.
