Island Health is seeking a Cardiac Anaesthesiologist to join our team at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Anaesthesiologist to provide anaesthesia services for cardiac surgery patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing postoperative cardiac surgery patients in the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVU) and will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of cardiac anesthesiologists.

Responsibilities
  • Provide anaesthesia services for cardiac surgery patients
  • Manage postoperative cardiac surgery patients in the CVU
  • Participate in preoperative assessments of cardiac surgery patients
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and cardiac fellows
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures
