Cardiac Anesthesiologist Opportunity at Island Health

Island Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our team at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC. As a tertiary care facility and referral centre for cardiac surgery patients on Vancouver Island, we offer a unique opportunity to work with a high volume of cardiac cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing anesthesia services for cardiac surgeries and procedures
  • Managing postoperative care for cardiac surgery patients in the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVU)
  • Participating in a collegial team environment with other cardiac anesthesiologists and surgical specialists
  • Contributing to the teaching and training of cardiac fellows, medical students, and residents
  • Collaborating with other departments to provide comprehensive care for patients
