As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our lift trucks, preparing loads for delivery, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections of lift trucks and complete required maintenance records
  • Ensure lift truck maintenance and servicing requirements are met, including regular cleaning and lubrication
  • Build orders to required specifications for delivery, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Load and unload building materials in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company safety protocols
  • Check load contents for accuracy and secure materials to prevent damage or loss
  • Ensure that all products are shipped on schedule and according to specific instructions by management to meet customer demands
  • Maintain contact with supervisors and work to resolve issues as they arise, providing excellent customer service
  • Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers, promoting a positive and professional image
  • Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures, including those related to health and safety, quality control, and customer service
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success of the team

Requirements

  • Valid forklift certification (propane)
  • Minimum two years of experience in a warehouse or material handling environment
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups and individuals
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics, including measurement and calculation
  • Basic hand tool skills, with the ability to operate and maintain equipment
  • Physical requirements include: ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs, sitting and driving for long periods, frequently climbing up and down stairs, pulling, pushing, bending, and torso twisting movements
