Job Description

We are seeking an International Relocation Expert/Mobility Program Coordinator to join our team. As a trusted advisor, you will provide exceptional relocation services, ensuring successful integration of employees and their families into new countries. Your expertise will include US and international immigration and tax laws, as well as project mobility guidance and support.

You will facilitate the smooth transition of cross-border talent by liaising between the employee, HR, payroll, benefits, tax, and operations. Additionally, you will manage tax process and filing requirements for employees, including preparation of secondment agreements and certificates of coverage, TEQ repayment tracking, and serving as the liaison between the accountant and employees to manage tax returns and refunds.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Post-secondary education in a field related to personnel management, such as business administration, industrial relations, commerce, or completion of a professional development program in personnel administration or equivalent;
  • 2-3 years' experience working in immigration, mobility, human resources, or talent acquisition;
  • Strong understanding of Canadian and/or US immigration laws;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with high resilience;
  • Superior problem-solving skills and ability to demonstrate agility in creating valuable solutions to complex issues quickly;
  • Proven ability to maintain confidential information;
  • Demonstrated attention to detail;
  • Strategic thinker;
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple assignments and accountabilities;
  • Tactful and effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization and influence as required;
  • Strong reporting, analytical, and process improvement skills;
  • Strong customer service skills with the proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members as well as internal and external stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships with all levels of employees through intuitive business insight and personal credibility; and
  • Desire to effect change and suggest process improvements with the ability to implement and deliver timely results.

Working Conditions and Environment

This role requires:

  • Primary work location at 20 Carlson Court, Toronto, Ontario M9W 7K6, with work and travel required throughout Canada;
  • Project, training, and business-related travel may be required;
  • Exposure to construction work site environments in all seasons;
  • Relocation within Canada may be required, with relocation costs covered by the employer.
