The Intermediate Accountant (Payroll) is a key member of our finance team, responsible for managing various financial activities. Reporting to the Controller, this role will oversee multiple tasks including bank reconciliations, accounts receivable/payable, payroll preparation, compliance reporting with government agencies, and assisting in the preparation of monthly working papers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Full-cycle accounting, including preparation of monthly working papers
- Reconciliation of loans on a monthly basis
- Quarterly reporting to senior executives and monthly consolidation working papers
- Management and review of deliverables by the Accounting Clerk

Additional Payroll Responsibilities:
- Bi-weekly payroll runs, including review and transmission of payroll information to Payworks
- Response to internal and external payroll inquiries
- Preparation of Records of Employment on a bi-weekly basis
- Year-end rollover of all payroll records and functions

Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in an accounting role in an office environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with effective communication in written form and verbally
- Detail-oriented and process driven with high expectations of self and sense of urgency

Preferred Qualifications:
- Payroll experience considered an asset
- SAP Business One experience considered a plus
- A degree in accounting or pursuing a CPA designation preferable

This role is located in the Vancouver Metropolitan area and offers a competitive salary range of CAD $70,000 - $80,000 per year.
