About the Role
SYSTRA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Control Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for leading the cost control function and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the cost control team and manage the cost control process to ensure accurate and timely reporting of project costs.
- Develop and maintain cost management plans, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure that cost control processes are integrated with other project management processes.
- Provide cost management expertise to project teams to ensure that projects are delivered within budget.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure that cost control processes meet their needs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in cost control and apply this knowledge to improve our cost control processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- At least 12 years of relevant cost control experience, preferably in mega or large-scale projects.
- Strong proficiency in cost management tools, software, and techniques.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to conduct in-depth variance analysis.
- Demonstrated expertise in integrating schedules and costs for comprehensive project oversight.
- Experience in transit, transportation, or Light Rail Transit (LRT) projects is a valuable asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Leadership experience with the ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a team.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and the aptitude to provide strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights.
- Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools.
- Relevant certifications such as PMI-SP, AACE CCP, or equivalent are desirable.
