Job Title: Group Home Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Home Worker to join our team at Amherst and District Residential Services Society.

Job Summary:

The Group Home Worker will provide support and care to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a group home setting. This role requires a strong commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities
  • Assist with food preparation and housekeeping
  • Supervise activities and provide support to clients
  • Administer medications and provide first aid as needed
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and staff
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Will train
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • Medication Administration Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Child Abuse Registry check
Working Conditions:

The Group Home Worker will work in a fast-paced group home environment, providing support to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This role requires flexibility, initiative, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care.
