Regulatory Policy Director

Midland Transport, a dynamic company with over 50 years of experience in the Transportation industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President, Asset Management to join our team. As a senior member of the Midland Executive Team, this role carries full operational and budgetary responsibility for the fleet, facilities, and procurement.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement an asset management framework and strategy to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
- Plan, develop, and monitor fleet maintenance budgets, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee facilities building and yard budgets, ensuring optimal maintenance and upkeep of all terminals and maintenance shops.
- Direct the development and implementation of maintenance plans and programs to improve fleet reliability and utilization.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve operational performance goals and address issues related to facilities, fleet planning, budget, and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local regulatory requirements, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Superior communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate a workforce.
- High degree of business acumen, strategic thinking, and tactical execution.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of transport trucks, tractors, and auxiliary equipment, as well as real estate, facility design, construction, and maintenance.
- Ability to oversee and provide strategic direction on property management, large-scale building and improvement projects, and procurement and sourcing activities.
