About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Engineer to join our team at Shogun Maitake Canada Co Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing manufacturing systems to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implement Manufacturing Systems: Develop and implement manufacturing systems to optimize the use of computer networks, robots, and materials.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize production processes.
  • Optimize Inventory Levels: Conduct studies to determine optimum inventory levels and implement programs to optimize inventory management.
  • Supervise Team Members: Supervise a team of technicians, technologists, analysts, and administrative staff to ensure that production processes are running smoothly.
  • Analyze Costs and Improve Efficiency: Analyze costs of production and identify areas for improvement to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Develop Maintenance Standards: Develop and implement maintenance standards, schedules, and programs to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and running efficiently.
  • Assess Business Opportunities: Assess business opportunities and develop strategies to improve production processes and increase efficiency.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or business administration.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication skills.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software and MS Office.
