Job Title: General Manager Quality

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our land development projects and drive business growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the successful delivery of projects that meet and exceed department goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee neighborhood planning and municipal approval processes
  • Prepare project assessments and project business plans, including cash flow requirements, equity investment requirements, funding requirements, and operating pro-formas
  • Prepare development proposals for Senior Management review and approval
  • Facilitate and negotiate partnerships with local businesses, developers, senior levels of government, business associations, and other stakeholders
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, community-based groups, contractors, businesses, and government agencies
  • Provide leadership in the overall performance management of the team, including setting clear expectations and objectives, providing coaching, and measuring results
  • Establish marketing vision for neighborhoods and act as a lead contributor for brand recognition (social media and events)
Requirements:
  • Postsecondary education in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field
  • ~10 years+ of related experience in land development, urban planning, and/or municipal engineering
  • Strong knowledge of the municipal planning process and policies, municipal political systems, and provincial planning legislation
  • Familiarity with JDE, Excel, and AutoCAD is an asset
