Join the Town of Oxford as a skilled Wastewater System Specialist This role is an excellent opportunity to utilize your plumbing expertise in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong background in plumbing technology, who can work independently and collaboratively as part of our team. Your primary responsibilities will include installing, maintaining, and repairing various components of the town's wastewater system, ensuring it operates efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair pipes, fixtures, and appliances that are connected to the wastewater system;
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to the wastewater system, including leaks and blockages;
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the system remains in good working condition;
  • Work closely with other teams to resolve complex problems and improve system performance;
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and make recommendations for future improvements.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the plumbing trade;
  • A valid Backflow Prevention Certification, Plumber Trade Certification, WSIB clearance Certificate, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, Confined Space Entry Training, and Red Seal Certificate;
  • Ability to lift heavy tools and equipment, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods;
  • Strong communication skills, with excellent written and verbal abilities;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and meet deadlines.
