At Mehtoj Group Ltd, we are seeking a skilled Skilled Welder to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, and ensuring that welds meet standards and/or specifications.

The ideal candidate will have experience with manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines. You will also be responsible for fitting, braze, and torch-straightening metal, determining weldability of materials, and operating previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.

This is a permanent position, requiring a fast-paced environment and the ability to work 40 hours per week. As a Skilled Welder, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of materials and develop your skills in a dynamic and growing company.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Interpret welding process specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
  • Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
  • Determine weldability of materials
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
