Position Overview

The Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our company-owned equipment, attachments, and trucks. This position involves performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing mechanical problems, and repairing equipment to meet production/distribution demands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform services and repairs to company-owned equipment and vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
  • Complete paperwork pertaining to maintenance of equipment and vehicles in a timely manner.
  • Research, order, and maintain parts inventory for services and repairs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in one or more of the following: diesel engine repairs, two-cycle engine repairs (lawnmowers, chainsaws, line trimmers, portable generators, leaf blowers, snow blowers, etc.), or heavy equipment repairs (skid steers, rubber tire wheel loaders, track loaders, excavators, grinders, and other land clearing equipment).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines and achieve desired goals.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 65 lbs.
  • Must have valid Driver's License.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the green industry or familiarity with landscape, nursery, forestry, or irrigation products preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
