As an Electromechanical Operations Technician at Vantage Data Centers, you will play a critical role in maintaining the optimal functioning of our data centers. This includes ensuring the health of all mechanical and electrical systems, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and responding to safety and emergency situations.
The successful candidate for this role will work with a team of other electrical and mechanical-focused technicians to perform maintenance and repair for our data center infrastructure. We take our customer requirements for uptime seriously and maintain our facilities to a very high standard to ensure uninterrupted service for our customers.
Job Responsibilities- Ensure the optimal functioning of the mechanical and electrical systems of the data center at all times, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Work under limited supervision, both independently and as part of a team.
- Manage multiple single or ongoing projects.
- Respond to safety and emergency situations and maintain a safe and risk-free work environment.
- Demonstrate discretion and judgment in organizing workflow and adapting to new priorities in a changing environment.
In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will be expected to operate critical systems, produce reliability reports, coordinate and monitor the work of maintenance service providers, create work methods and standard operating procedures, and perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements- Practical experience of at least three years, preferably five, in maintenance and repair of industrial electrical and mechanical systems.
- Demonstrate knowledge in operating, maintaining, repairing, inspecting, and testing critical electrical distribution systems, HVAC systems, and building management/automation equipment.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical engineering plans, as well as building architecture, and understand connections and single-line diagrams.
- Knowledge of common concepts, practices, and processes related to mechanical and electrical systems required to operate data centers.
- Experience and skills in technical writing, creating, coordinating, updating, and modifying work methods, standard operating procedures, and emergency procedures for critical installations.
