About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the BC Public Service as a Senior Manager, Support Services. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the operational support services team across all shifts, including oversight of support services, health and safety, and process improvement. You will work closely with other senior leaders within the distribution department to plan and execute department accountabilities and build collaborative relationships with internal departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the operational support services team to achieve department and organizational goals
  • Develop and recommend operating and capital budgets and monitor spend
  • Work closely with other senior leaders to plan and execute department accountabilities
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal departments
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives linked to strategic objectives
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school diploma or equivalent certificate
  • A minimum of 5 years recent experience working within a wholesale environment
  • A minimum of 3 years recent experience leading teams in a health and safety, training, customer care, or continuous improvement role
  • Experience with developing process design and process mapping
  • Experience with developing and writing Standard Operating Procedures
  • Experience with project management and change management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree/diploma in business administration, operations management, or related
  • Experience working in a unionized environment
