Rehabilitation Therapist Opportunity in the Northwest Territories

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Government of Northwest Territories. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with physical, emotional, or cognitive disabilities achieve independence and reach their full potential.
About the Role
This is a permanent opportunity offering 2080 hours per year. You will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans that cater to their unique needs. Your expertise will enable individuals to overcome challenges, regain skills, and enhance their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate clients' needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions;
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans that promote client-centered outcomes;
- Design and implement customized therapy programs, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative techniques;
- Monitor progress, adjust strategies as needed, and maintain accurate records of client interactions and achievements;
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless transitions and optimal care.

Compensation and Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The Government of Northwest Territories offers a competitive compensation package, including benefits, pension, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution;
- Registration with the relevant occupational therapy association (e.g., Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists);
- At least one year of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a similar setting;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations;
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, prioritize tasks, and manage competing demands.
