Role Overview

The Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) will be responsible for performing radiographic examinations, including routine general radiographic procedures, interventional procedures, and mobile X-ray procedures.

The successful applicant will be expected to make independent decisions while performing these duties and will work shifts on days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.

Qualifications

  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) is required.
  • Recent related experience in a hospital setting is necessary.
  • Previous recent related EPIC experience is an asset.
  • The ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods is required.
  • Responding professionally and appropriately in high-stress and emergency situations is essential.

Employment Requirements

A satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal reference check, completed within the first sixty (60) days of employment, is required.

Additionally, successful applicants must complete the Health Care Worker Health review process, including providing an up-to-date immunization record, within the first thirty (60) days of employment.
