CPP Investments, a leading global financial institution, is seeking an experienced finance and investment writer to join our Corporate Affairs team for an 18-month contract. As an expert content creator, you will partner with internal subject matter experts to research and produce communications materials that drive a deeper understanding of our investment framework and performance.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented writer who wants to grow their experience working in asset management or an investment professional passionate about writing. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, research, write, edit, and oversee the production of financial/investment management editorial and other communications for both internal and external audiences, across all communications channels. This includes creating engaging content for digital and print platforms, long- and short-form articles, video scripts, podcasts, and infographics that cater to various audience needs. You will also manage multiple content projects simultaneously and contribute smart ideas as part of a collaborative cross-functional team working closely with senior leaders and subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with CPP Investments' goals and objectives.
  • Research and craft compelling stories about complex financial concepts, making them accessible and actionable for diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify key messaging themes and ensure consistent branding across all communications channels.
  • Manage multiple content projects, prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and ensuring high-quality output.


Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should possess exceptional writing skills, intellectual curiosity, and knowledge of capital markets and institutional investing. You must have a keen editorial eye, attention to detail, and a solid background in fact-checking. Additionally, you should be able to take complex financial concepts and transform them into clear, concise, and engaging content for various platforms. Experience in asset management, investment commentary, or financial writing is highly valued, along with a portfolio showcasing superb writing skills and the ability to structure and execute writing projects for different audiences.
