Job Summary

Maintenance Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team at New Castle Hotels & Resorts. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair duties to ensure the upkeep of our properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Routine Maintenance - Assist with routine maintenance and repair duties, including painting, grouting, hanging curtain rods, moving furniture, and basic equipment repair.
  • Be a Go-To Person - Respond swiftly and effectively to any emergency that may arise during your shift, ensuring the safety and security of our guests and staff.
  • Collaborate with Team Members - Work closely with other departments to assist with tasks and projects as needed, promoting a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Ensure Safety and Security - Follow established safety and security policies and procedures, anticipating potential problems and reporting them to management as needed.

Requirements

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Practical Experience - Possess practical experience in maintenance and repair, with trade school or related college coursework preferred.
  • Customer Service Skills - Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of English, with the ability to work effectively with guests and staff.
  • Physical Demands - Be able to perform heavy work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Work Environment - Be able to stand for long periods, walk long distances, and work in variable temperatures and noise levels, with the ability to climb stairs and descend stairs in a timely fashion without fatigue.
