At the City of Brampton, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Youth Hub Program Director to lead our team in delivering high-quality programs and services to youth.
Job Summary:
The Youth Hub Program Director will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, operations, and overall management of the youth hub. This includes leading a dedicated team, ensuring program delivery, and fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all youth participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the strategic vision and goals for the youth hub, ensuring alignment with the City's strategic goals and community youth needs.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of specialized youth programs and services, ensuring they are innovative and meet the developmental needs of participants.
- Manage and support a team of staff, including instructors and specialists, providing guidance, professional development, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure the financial sustainability of the hub by developing budgets and managing resources effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders to support the hub's initiatives and expand its reach.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety, mental well-being, and holistic development of all participants and staff.
- Lead targeted marketing and outreach efforts to promote the youth hub and increase community engagement and participation.
- Monitor and report on program outcomes, community impact, and operational efficiency to stakeholders, with a focus on youth development metrics.
- Stay informed about trends and best practices in youth development, mental health, and career readiness, and incorporate innovative approaches to enhance the hub's offerings.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role within youth development, mental health services, community services, or a related field.
- Strong strategic planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple specialized projects and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire staff, participants, and community stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation, specifically tailored to youth.
- Financial management skills, including budgeting and resource allocation.
- Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all youth participants.
- A strong network of community connections and an understanding of local resources and youth needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development or Sport Certification.
- Permanent residency in Brampton.
