Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at SGS Natural Resources, Minerals - Geochemistry. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining various mechanical and automated equipment, as well as performing repairs and maintenance tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent downtime
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Repair and maintain equipment, including mechanical and automated systems
  • Handle basic repairs and maintenance tasks, including lifting and carrying equipment and materials up to 23 Kilograms
  • Ensure all personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn properly at all times and maintain a clean working environment
  • Keep accurate records and notebooks, including work order and equipment maintenance logs
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks on equipment
  • Oversee contractors when professional repairs are necessary
Requirements
  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certificate or diploma in a related field (e.g. instrumentation, millwright, electrician, HVAC)
  • 2 to 5+ years of experience working in an industrial setting
  • Valid G class license with a clean driving abstract
