About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Senior 3D Character Artist to join our team of developers, creators, and enthusiasts who are passionate about video game development. As a key member of our art team, you will collaborate with professionals to create striking character art that enhances the game's visuals.



Key Responsibilities



  • Collaborate with the Art Manager to develop asset production pipelines and drive the team towards achieving high-quality standards.
  • Create high and low-poly models using advanced techniques and maintain the finished models throughout the project's lifespan.
  • Participate in team meetings and art review sessions to ensure the highest fidelity assets possible.
  • Work closely with the development team to prioritize and develop procedural assets, optimizing art processes and workflows.
  • Respond to direction with an open mind and eagerness to refine character art, ensuring quality and applicability.
  • Mentor and facilitate learning with team members on standard methodologies, tools, techniques, and pipelines.
  • Research industry developments and explore new tools and techniques to improve efficiency and content production.


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you should have:



  • 4-6+ years of industry experience with a focus on Character Art and outstanding clothing creation abilities.
  • Demonstrated technical experience working with art tools and programs (Maya, ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter, and Photoshop).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of 3D modeling trends and pipelines.
  • Proficiency in Project Management (Shotgrid, Jira, Confluence) and Source Control (Perforce or GIT) software.
  • A solid understanding of human anatomy for modeling and a keen eye for shape and silhouette.
  • A solid understanding of rigging, weighting, UV, and texture layout.

Salary Range


We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
