We’re currently looking for a pre-viz artists to join one of our exciting 3D productions

**The Role**:
As a **Pre-Viz Artist,** you will get to work with the directors to achieve a rough outline for storyboard and realize them into the 3D environment by establishing camera blocking, composition and lens choice.

**Responsibilities**:
- Create 3D visualizations of storyboard animatics
- Establish camera blocking, composition and lens choice
- Pro-actively identify possible creative / technical problems with shots
- Complete assigned sequences within scheduled timeframe
- Ensure shot continuity
- Keep current on pre-viz techniques and technology
- Communicate with production on progress and assets
- Work with director to rough out position and camera for storyboards

**Qualifications**:
- 2+ years of experience in animation or film industry
- Degree/diploma in fine arts or animation or equivalent experience an asset
- Proficiency with standard industry software (eg. Maya)
- Ability to interpret storyboards and realizes them in a 3D environment
- Firm understanding of cameras, staging, composition, perspective, pacing, timing and cinematography concepts in animation context
- Solid understanding of cinematic language and camera terminology
- Basic modeling and rigging
- Ability to clearly communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas
- Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively under deadline pressure
