Universal Banker

Mechanics Bank is seeking a skilled Universal Banker to provide exceptional customer service and support in our Kensington Branch. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a range of teller and new accounts transactions, providing sales and servicing of Bank products and services, and working collaboratively with the sales team to achieve personal goals.

• Process cash and non-cash transactions in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Provide comprehensive deposit services to individuals, fiduciary, and small businesses, promoting the full range of deposit products and services that meet customer needs.
• Assist customers with account maintenance, online banking, mobile banking, and other complex account issues, resolving concerns and providing effective solutions.
• Review customer transactions for red flags and fraudulent items, maintaining awareness of current criminal scams and preventing customers from becoming victims of fraud.
• Represent the Bank and its products and services with pride and enthusiasm, utilizing sales techniques to uncover customer needs and present Bank offerings.
• Process small business loan applications and review loan packages for required documentation, referring complex business loans to business partners.
• Complete required compliance training and participate in branch, Region, and Bank campaigns.

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Approximately 50% travel required, typically within a 50-mile radius, with mileage paid for travel between assignments.
• Minimum of 2 years of banking experience in operations and sales required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as a team member.
• Working knowledge of Bank deposit products and services, consumer loan products, and alternative Bank services.
