About this Opportunity

Cenovus Energy Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Drayton Valley, Alberta. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rotating mechanical equipment and piping systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of mechanical equipment and components.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic analysis to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay current with technological advances and best practices in mechanical maintenance.
Requirements
  • Minimum Grade 12 Diploma
  • Journeyman mechanical trade certificate - Red Seal designation
  • Dual ticket certification for Millwright and Heavy-Duty Mechanic (asset)
  • Experience with gas processing equipment and process (asset)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in CMMS software (i.e., SAP) and Microsoft programs
  • First Aid, TDG, WHMIS, and H2S Alive certifications
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
