Production Manager Job Description

Closets by Design is a leading provider of home organizing systems, offering a comprehensive range of custom closets, home office furniture, media systems, wall-beds, garage cabinetry, and more.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our plant, ensuring efficient production, and maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage plant operations and employees to achieve production goals and deadlines
  • Schedule production and installation schedules to meet customer demands
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our product lines, equipment, and assembly standards
  • Enforce quality assurance and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with sales staff to review designs and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain factory equipment and company vehicles to ensure optimal performance
  • Produce daily cut-lists and forecast production requirements to maintain inventory levels
  • Purchase, track, and receive materials to support production needs
  • Resolve problems and provide excellent customer service to clients
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of management and supervisory experience, with hiring responsibilities
  • Experience in woodworking or cabinet making fields, preferably with 32mm systems
  • Proficiency in woodworking equipment and hand tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Quality and safety conscious, with a focus on driving bottom-line results while maintaining service orientation
  • Computer proficiency and ability to adapt to new technologies
