Production Manager Job Description

Closets by Design is a leading provider of home organizing systems, offering a comprehensive range of custom closets, home office furniture, media systems, wall-beds, garage cabinetry, and more.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our plant, ensuring efficient production, and maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the plant's daily operations, including scheduling production and installation schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance standards to ensure exceptional product quality.
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with sales staff to review designs and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Maintain factory equipment and company vehicles, and ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Produce daily cut-lists and forecast production requirements to maintain necessary inventory levels.
  • Purchase, track, and receive all purchased materials, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer complaints in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of prior management and supervisory experience, with hiring responsibilities.
  • Experience in woodworking or cabinet making fields, preferably with 32mm systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Quality and safety conscious, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
