About the Role

The Director, Demand Planning and Inventory Optimization will lead a team of planners in enabling the organization to achieve its Long-Term Strategic Plan (LTSP). You will develop the company's demand plan and inventory strategy to improve product availability while minimizing excess inventory for our Wholesale, Professional, and International Business Units.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a demand planning and inventory optimization roadmap to drive business growth and profitability.
  2. Lead a team of demand planners in developing and maintaining accurate sales and inventory forecasts.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of buying strategies and effective omni-channel inventory management.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Regional Commercial leaders and Sales Operations teams.
  5. Manage and analyze data to inform demand planning and inventory optimization decisions.
  6. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  7. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's products, customers, and markets.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in demand planning and inventory optimization.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Math, or Statistics.
  2. 10+ years of leadership experience in demand or merchandise planning.
  3. Strong understanding of sales and inventory forecasting best practices.
  4. Highly developed analytical skills and business acumen.
  5. Experience operating in a global, multi-channel business.
  6. Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
What We Offer

A competitive salary range of $146,000 - $182,000 CAD per year, plus a bonus program and benefits package.
