Registered Nurse

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our team in a specialty-qualified emergency nursing role. This position offers the opportunity to consolidate skills and participate in post-graduate specialty nursing courses/programs.
Responsibilities- Assess patients and collect information from various sources to make informed nursing decisions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, collaborating with patients and their families/caregivers.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families.
- Participate in the care and discharge planning process, ensuring effective transitions and coordination with the interprofessional care team.
- Collaborate with members of the interprofessional care team to identify and resolve issues, adjust care plans as needed, and address changes in patient condition.
- Teach patients and families/caregivers about illness prevention, health restoration, and health maintenance to support self-care and discharge planning.
- Document assessments, nursing diagnoses, observations, interventions, patient/family responses, outcomes/evaluations, and referrals according to practice standards and Fraser Health procedures.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of the applicable post-graduate specialty nursing course/program and/or willingness to complete the applicable post-graduate specialty nursing courses/programs.
- Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
