Job Summary

The University of Waterloo is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant II to join our Psychology department. As a key member of our research team, you will provide administrative support to the Principal Investigator and contribute to various research activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with research-related tasks, including data collection, organization, and analysis
  • Conduct experiments and research work as assigned by the Principal Investigator
  • Maintain inventory of research materials and supplies
  • Participate in the development of research documents, including ethics applications and journal publications
  • Provide administrative support, including onboarding new employees and students
  • Assist with special projects and other administrative duties related to the research

Qualifications

  • Completion of post-secondary degree or equivalent education and experience
  • Experience in a research academic environment is preferred
  • Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of software applications used in an office/lab setting
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
