Key Responsibilities:- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that each team member is working efficiently to meet sales targets.
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills to provide excellent customer service.
- Authorize payments by cheque and manage the store's finances effectively.
- Order merchandise and manage inventory levels to ensure that the store is always stocked with the latest products.
- Authorize return of merchandise and resolve any issues that may arise with customer returns.
- Establish work schedules and ensure that each team member is aware of their duties and responsibilities.
- Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to drive sales and revenue growth.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters to help the store manager make informed decisions.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages and provide a positive customer experience.
- Organize and maintain inventory and ensure that the store is always stocked with the latest products.
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers and provide guidance and support to each team member.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a retail management role.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and a strong background in sales and customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to motivate and lead a team of sales associates.
- Ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions in a timely manner.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking and the ability to work in a retail environment.
- Work Term: Permanent and the ability to commit to a long-term role.
- Work Language: English and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Hours: 40 hours per week and the ability to work a standard full-time schedule.
