Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Psychosocial Specialist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive psychosocial support services to cancer patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to patients and families affected by cancer
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans to address the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication
  • Develop and implement education programs to promote healthy coping strategies and support for patients and families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field, with a clinical internship/field placement from an accredited program
  • Master's degree in a related field is an asset
  • Eligibility for licensure in the appropriate provincial licensing body
  • Minimum three years of related clinical practice experience, with a focus on mental health counseling and oncology support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and Outlook
