About the Role:

The Procurement Agent will work closely with the procurement team to manage the administration of equipment, materials, supplies, and outside services required for the company's operations. This includes:

  • Collaborating with the procurement team to manage procurement processes
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Managing inventory levels and ordering supplies
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors
  • Performing audits and managing accruals
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing procurement processes, including ordering and inventory management

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Performing audits and managing accruals
  • Providing support to the Ignace and Atikokan Sawmills parts inventory
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a related industrial environment
  • Procurement/Supply Chain Management certification or equivalent
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent judgment and ability to explain and influence
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt quickly to change
