Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Worker to join our team at Ontario Inc. As a key member of our agricultural team, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and productivity of our greenhouse crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut and harvest horticultural crops to ensure optimal growth and quality.
  • Perform routine greenhouse cleaning and maintenance tasks to prevent the spread of disease and pests.
  • Hand harvest vegetables and remove suckers and water sprouts to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Tie and secure plants to trellises or stakes to support their growth.
  • Clean and organize the work area to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Work Environment

As a Greenhouse Worker, you will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks, and lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) of materials.

Requirements
  • Experience in greenhouse maintenance or agricultural labor is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, crouching, and lifting.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate and efficient work.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with a variable schedule of 40 to 60 hours per week. The language of work is English, and transportation is the responsibility of the employee.
