About the Role:

CANADA INC. is seeking a skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and calculating fixed assets and depreciation. Your strong organizational skills and attention to detail will ensure the accuracy and reliability of our financial statements.

Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Relocation not required

Preferred Skills:

  • MS Excel
  • MS Outlook
  • MS Word

Working Conditions:

Free parking available, permanent work term, 30 to 40 hours per week, work language: English.
