Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

VitalAire Canada, a division of Air Liquide Home Healthcare, is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Cranbrook, BC.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide quality healthcare services to our clients who require ongoing respiratory support and compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating oxygen therapy, performing assessments, educating clients on equipment use, and conducting follow-up services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct full respiratory assessments and perform diagnostics as applicable
  • Assess and evaluate test results, delivering supplies/equipment as required
  • Develop treatment plans with clients, physicians, and care teams, obtaining informed client consent
  • Provide follow-up services to evaluate treatment plan effectiveness, comfort clients, and address compliance
  • Identify client home environments for safety concerns and perform equipment quality control checks
  • Provide information/literature to prospective clients and demonstrate products/services
  • Stay updated on related education and best clinical practices
  • Comply with and maintain knowledge of all funding processes and systems
  • Ensure quality documentation by completing company documentation and forms while maintaining client confidentiality
  • Initiate PAP therapy, provide patient education, and conduct sleep-related duties
  • Adhere to safety and infection control policies and protocols
  • Instruct, supervise, and evaluate new staff and students when required
Requirements:
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist and/or Registered Nurse licensure
  • Licensed to practice with the provincial governing body
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Strong cardio-respiratory assessment skills
  • Valid driver's license and clear vulnerable persons check
  • Previous experience in the healthcare field an asset
  • Ability to participate in a rotational after-hours on-call schedule
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft, Google applications, and Android

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $31.00-$32.00 per hour
