Job Title: Assistant Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Down East Hospitality Incorporated. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor revenues and labour costs to ensure optimal staffing levels and minimize waste.
  • Supervise staff to ensure they are meeting performance expectations and provide coaching and training as needed.
  • Plan and organize daily operations to ensure seamless execution and minimize disruptions.
  • Set staff work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and minimize overtime.
  • Supervise staff to ensure they are following health and safety regulations and protocols.
  • Train staff on new procedures and policies to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Ensure that all staff are aware of and following company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver's licence and own transportation.
  • First Aid Certificate and Food Safety Certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
